2023 Winter webinar series, week 3
”Nitrogen Leaching in Central Sands: Regional & Field-based Estimation.” This webinar had two speakers, Guolong Liang (outreach specialist in UW-Extension’s Ag water quality program) and Emily Marrs Heineman (graduate student within the Nelson Institute of Environmental Studies, UW-Madison). This webinar went into depth looking at various tools to use to discover potential amounts of nitrate leaching on our fields in the Central Sands. These tools can help reduce nitrate leaching and aid in future recommendations for fertilizer use.
