UW–Madison Extension is hosting a free potato field day in Custer, WI on Tuesday, August 25 from 10:00 a.m. – noon. This event will explore innovative practices in potato cropping systems in the Wisconsin Central Sands to maintain profitability while protecting groundwater quality. Lunch is provided!
Farmers, agronomists, and county land and water conservation districts will learn about interseeding cover crops and the most recent UW–Madison research on promising practices and water quality monitoring.
This field day is sponsored and co-hosted by Rural Partnership Institute and Central Wisconsin Farmers Collaborative, a Producer-led Watershed Group.
